The NDTV Car & Bike Awards 2006, held for the first time in India was sponsored by Subros Ltd. The awards were conferred to various categories in the automobile Sector (total 22 categories ) were presented on 12th Jan 2006, at Taj Palace, Delhi. The selection process for the short listing
was very professional and was handled by PWC. The Award function started with a high note Ad of Subros (click here). Awards were given away by highly prominent personalities of various trades which included the likes of Mr. H.S. Billimoria, CEO Next Gen Publishing, Mr. Raj Nayak of NDTV India, Mr. Vikram Chandra, Managing Editor NDTV, Ms Renu Karnad, ED HDFC. The most prominent Awards of the function Car Maker of the year Award was given away by Mr. Ramesh Suri , Chairman Subros to Honda Siel Cars and The Automobile of the year Award was given away by Ms. Shradha Suri Marwah, Managing Director Subros to Mr. J. Khattar and team for Suzuki Swift. The entire programe was well covered over NDTV Profit Channel as well as in Car India Magazine.
